Laminate
Laminate Flooring Removal in Kansas City
We lift the click-together laminate and the foam under it, and haul it all away.
Old laminate comes up in pieces, the foam underneath tears, and you end up with a pile of planks that won't fit in a car. We do the whole job. We take up the floating laminate and the underlayment, carry everything out, haul it away the same visit, and sweep, so the subfloor is ready for your installer or the new floor you're putting down yourself. We work in houses, townhomes and rental homes across the KC metro, one room or the whole house. If some rooms have carpet, we pull that up in the same trip. Your baseboards stay where they are. Text us the room sizes or a few photos and we'll send you a price before we come out.

Real customers across the Kansas City metro, in their own words.
“These guys are amazing. Called them needing junk removed, with the only access to the property being a closed road under construction. They gave me a quote and came out same day - took multiple trips, cleaned up the entire area, and were extremely courteous and professional. Will absolutely use again - very reasonably priced, efficient, and did the job better than I even expected! Could not recommend more.”
“Very professional they came out the same day we called them and got our whole basement cleaned out! Would highly recommend them to anyone!”
“Called Royal Jun Pros on a Friday morning and they were on site within 4 hours and took care of everything. Received before and after photos of what needed to be cleaned up and they also repaired my fence while on site. A definite 5 star company and will use them again when needed. Great job!”
“Had Royal Junk Pros come out to clean my garage, and they did a great job. I had a bunch of old junk and random stuff that had piled up over the years, and they got everything loaded up way faster than I expected. They showed up when they said they would, were friendly and professional, and made the whole process really easy.”
“After I sent a text to the guys via the website, they sent an estimate quickly and a time they could come pick up my items. They were communicative, professional, and polite! They were at my house same day and got everything I needed hauled away. Super easy and reasonably priced!”
“Dominic and Austin turned up less than 24 hours after I called. They worked quickly and I appreciate their diligence. They had me back at work in no time, which I guess isn't their fault lol”

FAQ
Common questions about laminate
It depends on how many rooms and how much floor is coming out. Text us the room sizes or a few photos and we'll send you a price, then confirm it in writing on-site before we lift a plank. Every job has our $125 trip minimum. If we're already there for carpet or other junk, adding the laminate usually costs less than a separate trip.
Floating laminate: the click-together planks that sit on a foam pad and aren't glued or nailed to the floor. That's most laminate in KC homes. We don't remove glued-down floors, nailed hardwood, tile or vinyl plank.
Yes. The foam or padding under the laminate comes out with it, and we sweep the subfloor when we finish.
Baseboards stay on the wall. In homes built in 1978 or later we can pull the quarter round or shoe molding if the floor needs it. In older homes we leave painted trim in place, because the paint can contain lead. If a floor can't come out without moving painted trim, we'll tell you before the job.
We lift the laminate and the foam and leave the old vinyl, linoleum or tile underneath alone. Flooring like that from before the 1980s, and the glue under it, can contain asbestos and should be tested before anyone disturbs it.
Usually not. Laminate on stairs is glued and nailed down rather than floating, so it's outside what we remove. Laminate on the floors around the stairs is no problem.
Yes. Laminate that swelled or buckled after a leak or a flood is a common reason people call. We take it up with the wet underlayment and haul it away the same visit. If there's mold on the walls or framing, that part is a job for a mold remediation company.
We do laminate removal in homes: houses, townhomes, and duplexes and other buildings with up to four units. Offices, stores and bigger apartment buildings usually need an asbestos inspection before any flooring comes up, so we don't take those right now. If someone else pulls the floor, we can still haul it away.
