Most homes in Independence, Raytown, and the older KC neighborhoods have a full-size basement, and after a couple of decades it fills up: hand-me-down furniture, boxes from two moves ago, a treadmill, holiday bins, and the shelf of "might need it someday." We clear all of it. Carrying everything up the stairs is exactly the part you're paying us for. We sort as we load. Dry, usable furniture and household goods go to our local donation partners, metal and e-waste go to recyclers, and the rest goes to the transfer station. If a sump-pump failure or a spring storm got to some of it, we haul water-damaged items too. That's normal in a basement. We broom-sweep the slab before we leave, and you get a photo of the empty space.

Most basement cleanouts in the KC metro land between $250 and $650, depending on how full the basement is. That's our published whole-room to two-car-garage range, applied downstairs. Stairs don't change the price; volume does. You get an exact written quote on-site before we carry a single box.
Yes. Water-damaged furniture, carpet, and boxes are some of the most common things we haul out of KC basements. The one limit is mold. If you've had standing water and there's visible mold growing on the walls or framing, hauling the contents is our job, but treating the structure is a remediation specialist's. We'll clear the junk so they can get to work.
No. Walk down with us, point at what goes, and we handle the rest, including pulling out anything we can donate as we load. If you start a keep pile halfway through, that's fine too. The final price is based on what actually leaves in the truck.
