Carpet Removal & Tear-Out in Kansas City
We pull up the carpet, pad and tack strip and haul all of it away.
Pulling up old carpet is dusty, heavy work, and getting rid of it is the worst part. One room of carpet and pad can weigh more than a couch, and it won't fit in a car. We do the whole job. We pull up the carpet and the pad, take out the tack strip and the staples, carry everything out, and haul it away the same visit. Then we sweep, so the floor is ready for your installer, your painter, or the new floor you're putting down yourself. We work in houses, townhomes and rental homes across the KC metro, from one bedroom to the whole house, stairs included. Your baseboards and trim stay where they are. Text us the room sizes or a few photos and we'll send you a price before we come out.

Real customers across the Kansas City metro, in their own words.
“These guys are amazing. Called them needing junk removed, with the only access to the property being a closed road under construction. They gave me a quote and came out same day - took multiple trips, cleaned up the entire area, and were extremely courteous and professional. Will absolutely use again - very reasonably priced, efficient, and did the job better than I even expected! Could not recommend more.”
“Very professional they came out the same day we called them and got our whole basement cleaned out! Would highly recommend them to anyone!”
“Called Royal Jun Pros on a Friday morning and they were on site within 4 hours and took care of everything. Received before and after photos of what needed to be cleaned up and they also repaired my fence while on site. A definite 5 star company and will use them again when needed. Great job!”
“Had Royal Junk Pros come out to clean my garage, and they did a great job. I had a bunch of old junk and random stuff that had piled up over the years, and they got everything loaded up way faster than I expected. They showed up when they said they would, were friendly and professional, and made the whole process really easy.”
“After I sent a text to the guys via the website, they sent an estimate quickly and a time they could come pick up my items. They were communicative, professional, and polite! They were at my house same day and got everything I needed hauled away. Super easy and reasonably priced!”
“Dominic and Austin turned up less than 24 hours after I called. They worked quickly and I appreciate their diligence. They had me back at work in no time, which I guess isn't their fault lol”

FAQ
Common questions about carpet
It depends on how many rooms, whether there are stairs, and how much carpet and pad is coming out. Text us the room sizes or a few photos and we'll send you a price, then confirm it in writing on-site before we pull anything up. Every job has our $125 trip minimum. If we're already there hauling other junk, adding the carpet usually costs less than a separate trip.
Yes. We pull the tack strip around the edges of each room and the staples that held the pad, then sweep, so the subfloor is clean and ready for the next floor.
It goes fastest when the rooms are empty. If you're keeping the furniture, move it out first or tell us when you book and we'll work out a plan. If the furniture is going too, we haul it in the same trip.
No. Under the carpet we take out the pad and tack strip only. Laminate, floor tile and hardwood (in homes built 1978 or later) are separate services we also do, so tell us if the floor underneath is coming out too. We don't pull up vinyl. If we find old vinyl, linoleum or sheet flooring under the carpet, we leave it alone. Older flooring like that, and the glue under it, can contain asbestos and should be tested before anyone disturbs it.
No. We work around baseboards and trim and leave them on the wall. In homes built before 1978 the paint on trim can contain lead, so we don't pry it off or cut into it.
Yes. Basement floods and leaks are one of the most common reasons people need carpet out fast. We pull the wet carpet and pad and haul it away the same visit. If there's mold on the walls or framing, that part is a job for a mold remediation company.
We do carpet removal in homes: houses, townhomes, and duplexes and other buildings with up to four units. Offices, stores and bigger apartment buildings usually need an asbestos inspection before any flooring comes up, so we don't take those tear-outs right now. If someone else pulls the carpet, we can still haul it away.
Yes. If you or your installer already tore it out, we just haul it, priced by the truck space it fills like any other junk.
