A rotting or dated deck is more than a haul-away — it's a small demolition job. Boards to pry up, framing to cut, ledger boards bolted to the house, and concrete footings sunk in the ground. We handle deck removal and light demolition across the Kansas City metro, from a small ground-level platform to a full second-story deck, and haul all the debris.

How we handle it

Our crew dismantles the deck safely — decking, framing, railings, and stairs — detaches the ledger from the house cleanly, and digs or breaks out the concrete footings when the job calls for it. Most deck tear-outs run $345–$1,400 depending on size, height, whether it's wood or composite, and how many footings are set in concrete. We load it all, rake the area, and leave you a clean slate for the next project.

Thinking about doing it yourself?

Doing it yourself? A ground-level deck is a realistic weekend job with a pry bar, a reciprocating saw, and a dumpster or heavy trailer — old deck lumber is bulky, nail-filled, and heavy once it's soaked in years of weather. The parts that trip people up are the ledger board (attached to your house — cut it wrong and you've got a repair) and concrete footings, which usually need to be dug out or busted up. Treated lumber isn't recyclable and can't be burned, so it goes to the transfer station by weight.

These guys are amazing. Called them needing junk removed, with the only access to the property being a closed road under construction. They gave me a quote and came out same day - took multiple trips, cleaned up the entire area, and were extremely courteous and professional. Will absolutely use again - very reasonably priced, efficient, and did the job better than I even expected! Could not recommend more.

Deck removal in the KC metro typically runs $345–$1,400. A small ground-level deck is at the low end; a large or elevated deck with multiple concrete footings is at the high end. We give a firm written quote on-site after seeing the size, height, and how it's attached.

We can. Footing removal depends on how deep they're set and what you need for the next project — we'll walk it with you and include the footings in the written quote so there's no surprise. Some folks want them out; others want them left for a rebuild.

Yes — decking (wood or composite), framing, railings, stairs, and the ledger board. We take the whole structure down and haul it, then clean up the area underneath.
