An apartment move-out cleanout in the KC metro starts at $250 for a studio or 1-bedroom, $345 for a 2-bedroom, and $1,300 for a full 3-bedroom household, quoted after a free walkthrough. It goes smoothest the day after your movers leave, when only the stuff staying behind is left.
Apartment move-out cleanouts usually start one of two ways. Either the renter doesn't want to move 90% of the stuff to the new place, or the landlord is doing the post-tenant cleanout. Here's what it costs in the KC metro right now.
How much does it cost by apartment size?
- Studio / 1-bedroom (mostly furniture + boxes): starting at $250
- 2-bedroom (more furniture, mattresses, kitchen items): starting at $345
- 3-bedroom (full household): starting at $1,300, quoted after a free walkthrough
- Hoarder-condition or extreme accumulation: quoted after a free walkthrough
Walk-up surcharge
Third-floor walk-ups (think Westport, Plaza, Crossroads, parts of Waldo) add 15–25% to the labor for the extra carry. We quote firm on-site after seeing the stairwell.
What do people leave behind at move-out?

When should you schedule the cleanout?
It goes smoothest if you schedule us for the day after the movers leave. The apartment is empty except for the stuff staying behind, and we can clear it in one trip without working around the movers.
Landlord-paid cleanouts
For landlords and property managers: we invoice net-15 on signed accounts and provide a Certificate of Insurance same-day. We handle tenant-turnover cleanouts across the KC metro on a repeat-account basis.
