Construction and demolition (C&D) debris is heavier and routed differently than regular junk — it goes to specialized C&D transfer stations, not general landfills. That changes the pricing math. Here's what KC-area remodel projects actually pay in 2026.
Cost by project size
- Bathroom remodel debris (one tear-out): $295–$445
- Kitchen remodel debris (cabinets, drywall, tile): $445–$795
- Full-room remodel demolition: $595–$995
- Whole-home renovation (multiple trips): $1,500–$4,500
- Tear-out only (we just haul, you demo): 20% less than demo-included pricing
What counts as C&D debris
- Drywall, plaster, lath
- Lumber (clean or painted)
- Tile, ceramic, porcelain
- Old cabinets and built-ins
- Flooring (carpet, vinyl, hardwood, laminate)
- Fixtures and fittings
- Concrete (small quantities — large slab demo is separate)
What's NOT C&D
- Asbestos (requires licensed abatement)
- Lead-based paint waste from pre-1978 homes (special handling)
- Treated lumber in some quantities
- Roofing tar / asphalt shingles in large amounts
- Active electrical components
Why we're cheaper than a dumpster for small jobs
A 10-yard roll-off dumpster in the KC metro runs $350–$550/week with weight overages. For a single-bathroom remodel, you'll fill maybe 30% of it and still pay the full week. We charge for the volume you fill — for small-to-medium demos, we beat dumpster pricing.
